Thank You For the Days ..

Highland Ramble, Day 4

Back-blip.

At last, perfect West Highland weather, 20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Bliss.

We made straight for Sanna, the beach at the end of Ardnamurchan, the most westerly place on the British mainland.  There are vestiges of the old crofting community above the bay, the black houses now roofless and overgrown. Someone many years ago has attempted to 'modernise' this one with corrugated iron and a porch.

Now they gaze sightlessly out to the west over the roofs of the modern bungalows, mostly holiday homes, in all shapes and sizes. The planning authorities seem to take a relaxed view of what fits in ...

A few extras, including another sunset. This one is looking out over the islands of Eigg and Rhum. One day I'll get there!

Many thanks for the stars and hearts yesterday, and apologies for the lack of comments, and gratitude to the Cafe Tiroran in Acharacle for the free wi-fi.

And thanks to Marlieske for hosting DS!
