Picking mushrooms

Cantharellis tubaeformis is a wild species of mushroom growing in Finnish woods.

After a late breakfast me, hubby and our daughter ran some errands, then took our rubber boots and rain jackets with us, as well as few small buckets into the car - and drove to countryside.
As many Finns, we have our special secret places in familiar forests where we go and pick wild mushrooms. We have so called every man's right, so every Finn is permitted to pick berries and mushrooms from any forest here.

The woods was peaceful as always, only a Common Jay and a Hazel Grouse sung there. The grouse was quite near of us, and answered as my daughter kept whistling to it.

The weather slightly rsiny and we found a lot of mushrooms from the forest.

In the evening, on our way back home, a visit to grandparent's sauna. Lovely indeed.

Late home, cleaned the mushrooms. Nice to have also our son home!
