Dene Crossing (DS159)

The Dene flows through the village we live in and there is a path along the side of the river which makes a good hour walk from our house.  Crossings over the river are a feature of the village history and although it is not a large river, the ground on either side drops into a valley and so can be very wet in the winters.  I'm not entirely sure what this old structure was - but it looks as if it might have been a crossing point in the past.  There are the remains of a collapsed wall in the river and what looks like a concrete/asphalt cap on an older structure.
