On the cusp of the Equinox

A final fling for Summer?   Hot until late afternoon when the cloud rolled in.  Raining properly now but will need to do so for forty eight hours plus to relieve the drought here.  Driving across southern England this week so many trees were clearly very drought stressed.  They die slowly and many will recover if we have a few wetter years .... but how likely is that?

Church this morning while Jamie cooked us a delicious Sunday dinner.  A trip home for him to collect a few things  - I did some weeding - a few odd jobs and then a quiet evening all together.

The cyclamen and colchicum are flowering in response to the cooler nights and lower soil temperature but they and everything else in the garden will appreciate all the rain they can get.
