Above And Beyond...

UnCOOKed!

A bit of British History has disappeared off the internet and 'High Street' in Britain today.  The travel firm Thomas Cook went into administration owing millions of pounds to the banks. All planes were grounded and The British Government refused to bail them out to the tune of £150million of tax payers money (rightly in my view) on top of what they already owed. Hundreds of thousands of staff and holiday makers affected.

My blipfoto shows Thomas COOK shop on Cardiff Road, Caerphilly, shut forever. The company began in 1841 - 178 years ago!!!

What's stinks is that Thomas COOK bosses have been paid £20 million in bonuses over the last five years!
