Huge Melons!

Well, ok, not huge melons at all. It is very windy out there this weekend, and the acorn I planted in the very front garden a few years back is now a fifteen foot oak tree and is shaking off the next generation!

These will get planted today, along with the locally shiny brown conker I picked up yesterday. Maybe they'll grow.

We are in transition. Ignoring all the temporary frustrations of Brexit and even the death threats our so-called leader is provoking through his sustained and unapologetic invective, we are moving into extinction.

The trees are dying, and we will miss them hugely before it is our turn to go. If we're not burning them to the ground, or clearing them for a pointless railway line, they are failing to survive climate change.

I remember "plant a tree in '73... and plant one more in '74".
