Wanderings & Witterings

Clacks

Two weeks ago, one of my friends invited me to a coffee morning she was organising for Macmillan Cancer Support. Rather than just turn up, though, I volunteered to help, which is why I found myself at Clackmannan County Cricket Club soon after 9.30 this morning. The above photo was taken around then (the time on the clubhouse clock is wrong).

In fact, it was more of a lunch, with soup and rolls, tea, coffee and apple pie on offer. We were kept pretty busy, especially when the 'customers' started arriving around 11.30 and for the next two hours or so. With most of the clearing up completed by 2.15pm I baled out to go to watch the football. Don't know how much was raised, but I reckon it may have been a successful fundraiser.

In other news, Falkirk drew 0-0 at home to East Fife. It was not the highlight of my day.
