Rehoming

This small loch was covered in flocks of birds, all gathering together at this time of migrations and moving on. It's adjacent to the dog rescue centre where we took our stock of dog food; glad to find a worthwhile recipient - we hope they find good new homes too.

We think we spotted a couple of Little Auks on our way up over the Barriers - beautiful little birds just minding their own business. I read that there are millions of them in the Arctic but because they stay at sea and are in inaccessible areas not much is known about them. A gem of a moment or two.

Back to weeding this garden, with particular attention to dock and mombretia, both of which seem very keen to live with us. One of a long list of jobs to be done, as always.
