Snapshots of my world

UCI World Championships Men's Road Race!

It's unusual that the torrential rain begins when you go to bed the night before and continues, without a break, all the next day until around 5pm! However, today was one of those unusual occasions...and it just so happened to be the day of the men's World Championship Road Race. The climbs of Buttertubs and Grinton Moor were removed last minute due to flooding; a real shame but totally understandable.

Dad and I headed to Harrogate in full wet weather gear to watch the race as it completed the many circuits in, and around, the town centre. We had great fun receiving goodies from the caravan and watching the race, even being out in that torrential rain for 5 hours couldn't ruin the fun. There wasn't a part of me that wasn't waterlogged by the end though!!

However, it was a real shame the weather didn't allow Yorkshire to showcase itself in all it's amazing glory...and the warm bath and cup of tea upon arriving back home were just AMAZING!

It's a Strictly results evening followed by trying World on Fire, the new BBC drama, a little later. :-)
