River of Flowers

Sunday: Mystery Flower, Tweetie Pie & Blue Sky

This is what’s left of the mystery flower bought at the woodland festival yesterday. It has about half a dozen fuchsia pink petals grouped tightly together as a solitary flower on a single stem. Leaves are grasslike similar to many sedges I grow but softer in texture - label was missing due to a member of the gardening team removing them because he thought them untidy ... any help in identifying would be greatly appreciated :-))

It rained all night and all morning, weather improved around 3pm when I was able to hang the washing outside, it was brought in a couple of hours later - normality may be returning to my household chores!!
Watched first half of Wales v Australia game Rugby World Cup Japan. Followed remainder on Twitter, Wales 29 - 25 Australia, Wales are now top of their group. Last 10 minutes was nerve wracking ... watched and enjoyed the second half on catch up this evening.
Spent a happy couple of hours sewing mini cushion keyrings - my sewing machine & I are in tune!! This doesn’t happen often!!
This afternoon, to cheer us up, we had coffee & cake - delicious banana cake baked by our lovely neighbour, diolch yn fawr/many thanks to C xx
Heard & saw half a dozen geese flying over to the beach, they went by too quickly to snap!
I’m still working my way through “Elementary “ & have reached Series 4.
Goodnight all, sweet dreams x
