Empty nest

David moved out today so now we have an empty nest. It’s going to take abit of getting used to. Luckily it stayed dry while he moved some of his stuff out and in. He’s only gone to Dingwall ,so not far, sharing a flat with his best mate who he met at the Academy.
Felt strange seeing him walk through the door and a few tears were shed on my part. He messaged me to say he was in and sent a few photo’s.Better change the subject otherwise I’ll be of again !
In other news I watched the Athletics , fantastic running and Pole vaulting all looking promising for the Olympics next year :)
Also watched the cycling, well done to all who took part it looked harrowing , 7 hours in the saddle , riding in pouring rain and through floods no wonder they could hardly talk at the end , all energy spent.
It started to rain heavily in the evening, trying to remember if we have had a day without ran this year, I think probably not I’m sure it’s rained at some point.
The garden is busy with birds still especially with the blue tits. The sparrow hawk has been spotted a few times, usually by the birds first as it goes quiet all of a sudden.A pigeon flew into the window , making us jump, so now have a pigeon shape on the glass. It flew off ok :)
