Iris*

I had to zip into Bantry this morning. I pulled in to get a shot of the water which was still looking dark and brooding after a ton of rain last night. I hadn't even seen the rainbow and nearly fell out of the car! It was colossal and seems to have far more than the normal layers. It vanished in about 30 seconds, an amazing sight.

Lots of flooding everywhere but the sun is out today. Himself and a friend have been doing useful things re chimneys and they needed a cork shaped object for something crucial. We just had to open a bottle of prosecco, the only cork-shaped thing available, and avail of a refreshing glass - in the afternoon! With the crossword - it doesn't get more outrageous than that. But it is Jolly Aging Week or something like that so this is probably the best way to do it. And it's International Coffee Day.

Chips and arthouse follow. Its Apollo 11 tonight, better take my travel pills!
