Book club at Mimi’s ‘resort” (retirement home) today…she just turned 82 and had gall bladder surgery on her birthday (a few days ago!) following a new hip a few months ago.  She looks amazingly well for all this and is an inspiration.    She is another photographer I’ve been trying to talk into blip..she looks at them all but won’t do it.    Diane and her dog Panda here too.  The book “Lady Dahlia’s Story” was written by a long time friend of Mime’s, Joan Seko…a historical romance fiction novel.  Nice to support her but I can’t recommend it.   :-)  Most of us read another victorian novel to compare.  I quite liked North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell.     Much too much else to talk about however…one had to leave for a medical emergency for their husband, a friend went with her…so many changes at our ages,…

And it was our day for Fiona so H picked her up, had ice cream, a trip to the boat store and they were playing cards when I got home and I heard all the topics of conversation they had had so far.   We made cards and wrapped presents for Tatum who is turning 16 on Friday!  oh my hard to believe …had to go wish her happy birthday.. (extra)  And my computer collage card..other extra.  Will do a proper 16 yo blip soon.  :-)

And we’re packed and ready to head to the island early in the morning….with friends…!  Whew…will relax once we get there…
