Historic

A trip to the city today and a walk around the area where my sister and brother-in-law live. Brother-in-law's great grandfather was the first Chinese immigrant to settle in New Zealand and the first to be naturalised (3 January 1853).  In the 1880s he built a number of cottages just down the street from my sister's and a nearby walkway has been named after him. He was a successful, well respected businessman and died in 1920 aged 100.
