Bonnie Walkers in Meskla

We made a little trip today in the neighbourhood of Chania and went to the village of Meskla. There we made a little walk in its gorge and found ourselves a table in this taverna.

When we were about to leave a group of walkers walked by and they'd obviously come down from the hills.
When they were seated I asked them where they came from walking and what country they're from. Their leader and guide told me they're a group of walkers from Glasgow, Scotland (a little West from Glasgow even) and now they're on walking holidays here on Crete ~  tomorrow is their homeflight to Scottia again.

One of the ladies took photo's and I told her about Blip... She told me she knows the site well as her husband is a blipper! His blipname I didn't get fully and gave her mine... so possibly we meet here on Blip in near future :-)

Apart from the Southern islands, of which Crete is one,  rainshowers were shed over Greece today.
