Christmas Is Coming

Passing through the Christmas decoration section in John Lewis we admired one or two pretty decorations - then noticed the rather more unusual designs on offer.
I quite liked the brussels sprouts, which might fit our tree, then saw the really odd ones - the garlic bulb, half avocado pear, cut apple and peapod, all illustrated. Or how about an aubergine? A pan of bacon and eggs? These, no doubt, for your kitchen tree.
For your pet's tree you might select a few animals - wolf, terrier, crickets, owls of various sizes, though whether they would appreciate the snail, I couldn't say.
The nursery tree would benefit from all the circus animals, a Nutcracker doll and a few dinosaurs thrown in for good measure plus any number of fairies and angels.
Indeed, the entire house may be festooned in a wide variety of distinctive decorations, though for my money, it's plain, pretty (or a brussels sprout), assuming there's room on my tree after all the family creations have been found a place.

Oh, and I made the cake today, the fruit not minding a wait of almost a month.
