Glorious mud

Been digging a Roman ditch today and I ache in many places. Found lots of pottery, including some nice rims and bases, some big old nails, some (animal) bone, and a nice fragment of green glass. A good day’s work and now I’m looking forward to a relaxing night in front of the TV with a pizza.
