Sgwarnog: In the Field

Applause

A minute’s applause for Peter Downsborough, who died recently, kicked off proceedings at Valley Parade today. A goalkeeper who played more 225 league games for Bradford City and 274 for today’s visitors, Swindon Town,  his most notable game was probably Swindon’s victory over Arsenal in the 1969 League Cup Final.

Today’s game was entertaining, and City continued their improved form with a deserved 2-1 victory.
