...an in-flight capture

everything aligned - the blue heron was in place - the sun was out - the water sparkled - no other people were yet - gathered around for interference - perfect

i stalked as quietly - and quickly as i could - along the path - understanding, even with sweet - murmurings to him - my window of time for getting - a successful shot was going - to be very limited - but i had a good feeling - was prepared even if he took off - which is what i was banking on - since i wanted to capture - him inflight and timing is everything

i think the shot speaks - for itself really - perhaps it could’ve been - better but i’ll take this one - those outstretched wings, the dangling feet - yeah, i have had...
