There is much promotion of electric cars and buses these days...but our forward thinking forefathers had provided electric powered mass transit......then petrol and diesel vehicles swept them away thanks to shortsighted planners, greedy oil companies ......and those misguided politicians who ignored the benefits of mass transit in favour of motor manufacturers and roadbuilding
