Colour Blitz 6: Fun runner(s)

Beautiful day (unlike other parts of GB),bright sun, blue skies, mild, a nice breeze.

While Mr B was at tennis (2 hour doubles), I walked down the cliff path to catch up with the marathon. The usual excitement, noisy supporters, crowd controls. The occasional sirens to deal with injured , exhausted runners. Some overjoyed at finishing the course.

Saw a very distressing scene in the park. 2 intimidating pitbull types, one with the other’s head in his mouth. The 2 owners trying to pull their trophy dogs apart. A third person beating the aggressor dog, but to no avail. After maybe 10 minutes the dog released his grip. Many anxious onlookers (from afar) were aghast. Neither dog looked as though they should have been on the streets, and certainly not unmuzzled. Thankfully I don’t think the underdog was (badly) injured, I certainly had no intention of getting closer to investigate.

Met Mr B at 60 million postcards. Just about to head home (4pm now sitting in the garden with the Sunday Times).

This charitable and colourful event is just right for hobbs’ Colour Blitz October theme
