Foxglove seed pods

Angus left very early in the morning for his long journey back to Devon, and MrM and I had a pre-breakfast walk on the Common. Lots of wildlife around, but none close enough for photos - three red squirrels, two roe deer and a heron. So some rather damp seed pods will have to do for a Blip.

It's to be a working-on-the flat weekend and, for me, a day of painting the structure of the newly finished built-in shelf unit in the living room (MrM is making the main shelves today, and they will be painted and fitted later). Two coats of primer/undercoat - each took just over 3.5hours - with some domestic stuff between coats. It's a big unit, from floor to ceiling on one side of the chimney breast, and eventually it will hold all manner of junk things that are, at present, clogging up cupboards and shelves in the spare room and elsewhere - books, CDs, DVDs, lamps, and much much more. Can't wait to get it finished, but it won't be for a while yet - it's become obvious that we don't have enough paint to do the main shelves...
