Two Buildings in Paris

These would have been seen as houses when they were constructed (probably in the 1920s). It's fun to see the details in large. They are on Rue Ernest et Henri Rousselle (dating from ca. 1910) around the corner from our apartment in the 13th arrondissement. Many Paris streets are named for individuals--two in this case; they are specifically ID'd in some street signs (as here).

There are many two or three-story buildings in our neighborhood; you can see a few of them here, a view from our apartment. I'll try to find better links to them--they are related to efforts to provide houses for worker's families in the 1930s.

I've marked the houses' location quite precisely on the map.
