A Day Worth Recording

Our boardgaming guests from New Zealand have arrived just ahead of this weekend's DellCon.

We thought we'd play a game from the earlier years of 'modern' boardgaming.  This one is "Entdecker" (which immediately indicates it's from the days, the 1990s, when most boardgames worth playing were German).

It's by Klaus Teubel, the same designer as the game Catan which you are more likely to be familiar with, but postdates Catan (then "Die Siedler von Catan") and some like to see it as the 'discovery' of the island that is subsequently settled in the game Catan.  Really, it's just a different game altogether.
