Young Cardinal

This young female cardinal was born this spring. She's one of quite an astonishing number of new cardinals at our house. It was apparently an excellent breeding season! Her beak will turn orange by next spring, I would guess - but for now it's one way to be sure she's a juvenile. She has figured out where the seeds are served! I presume her parents showed her.
