A Meandering Life...

Tiny Tuesday 228 :: TT228 :: Native?

They say as you get older you begin to repeat yourself, I said...

I Blipped this rose the other day, again in the same high-key way. Last time it had a caterpillar climbing it, this time it has 2 tiny snails in residence.

The term an English Rose may not be suitable for this one. It is likely to be a variant of Rosa chinensis (China rose) and the common garden snail is likely to have been introduced from the Mediterranean during Roman times.

So neither from the UK as such but resident for so long they are classed as native.
