A busy day. I had final preparations to do for a talk I was giving this evening to a local Camera Club - actually it was over an hour's drive each way - on the journey to gaining my ARPS. The talk went well and everyone was interested and appreciative.
Earlier I had taken Pepper for a walk round the reservoir with my 100-400 lens. We spent some time in a bird hide along with other birders particularly observing the Great White Egret. The lens was at full zoom as the bird was really too far away so the result is not quite in focus or large enough. This would have been due to hand holding the camera as tripod use would have been tricky. Here the egret has caught himself a fish.
