Opium of the masses.

Folk who follow my posts will know I hate littering. Since Edinburgh City Council stopped collecting oversized items for free, residents have increasingly disposed of unwanted furniture/appliances by simply abandoning them in the streets. Thus the council have to pay workers to collect them anyway making the change to their policy utterly redundant and our environment that bit messier. Especially as discarded items can sit around for over a week. T.V. sets are frequently disposed of this way, like this one I snapped in our street today.
