A day in the life

Beach

I had a friend visiting today, luckily we had a nice but windy day with a lot of sun. A good thing about this long, thin island is that if we have a rather strong wind from the west, we can have our coffee on the east coast in stead, where the wind was a lot less of a bother. We got a nice tour across the island to a fishing harbour where there was some flat rocks to sit on. Nothing much happened, which was quite nice. Just a cup of coffee and a biscuit on the beach looking at a couple of swans grazing in the shallow water,  a couple of teenagers going for a rather quick dip in the sea despite it being below ten degrees and a horizon in the distance to look at. Quite a good way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon really.

A few baby jellyfish had been flushed onto the seaweed on the beach, not knowing they were going to be the blip of the day.
