Branklyn Gardens

After three days of rain it was good to enjoy a dry but very dull day as we drove from west to east arriving in Elie in the late afternoon.

We saw the most beautiful scenery but the absence of good light and no places to stop kept the cameras in our bags until we reached Branklyn Gardens on the outskirts of Perth.

The gardens were full of autumnal colours and the acers were looking quite splendid. Sadly, many of the flowers had suffered a battering in the recent heavy rain.
