Day 15

Am: as views from hotel rooms go, this is rather special.

We are in Saumur staying on an islet in the Loire - we had originally planned to drive to a visit a chateau or two but the town is so inviting have decided to explore it instead. 

Update (pm)*: the view from the window changes constantly as clouds come and go and as sun crosses sky. Could have sat and watched all day but we set out and explored the city and some, racking up over 30,000 steps in process. Just as well given the gargantum portions of Croque La Bourse we had for supper !
