Above And Beyond...

Hunters Full Moon

It was a Hunters Full Moon during the night and I eventually managed to grab a photograph of it as the clouds cleared a bit just before going to bed near midnight. It's mentioned in several sources as the Anglo-Saxon name for the full moon for October. This is the month when the game is fattened, and it is time to start preparing for the coming winter. Traditionally, this included hunting, slaughtering and preserving meats for use in the coming winter months.

This afternoon was my mum's interment at Western Cemetry, Cardiff. Made more depressing stood there in the rain holding an umbrella over the Reverend as he conducted the ceremony.
