River of Flowers

Monday: View from Above

Dry and mild all day, perfect for gardening.
Jobs done this morning: emptied last 2 pots of tomato plants, stems into garden waste bin & compost sieved for reuse; greenhouse checked for slugs & a dozen moved to compost bin; repotting of skirret  plants which have grown good tubers maybe enough to taste next year; lots of flower seedlings of polemonium caeruleum transplanted into cells.
Started off some seeds in a large planter covered in net curtain held by strong elastic: forage peas which gave lots of pea shoots last winter, chicory “Rossa di Trevino”, rocket, spring onion White Lisbon, salad leaves “Speedy Mix” which has mustards & mizuna & Pak Choi - winter salads for me or the slugs!!
I’m enjoying the series “Wild China” BBC nature at its best! Still watching “Elementary” too ...
MrD and I enjoyed a medicinal sloe gin & damson gin to ease our colds :-))
Good night all, sweet dreams x
