Apple cake

Yesterday, after badminton, I paid a visit to friends Anne and Drum and they sent me home - not immediately! - with some apples from the tree in their garden.

That's why today I decided to put them to good use, and baked this apple cake with a crunchy top. It is very tasty, specially with a scoop of ice cream, as the recipe suggested insisted ;-)

Neighbour Nancy popped in this afternoon for a cuppa and a piece of cake and gave it the thumbs-up.
