Hands on

Spent the day at Dynamic Earth helping out with a big OU STEM display - stalls highlighting the research of the space scientists, engineers, computer scientists etc. On the maths stand we just had lots of puzzles and games, and the DE clientele having a high proportion of small children, the blip gives an idea of my view for most of the day. It was good fun, but somewhat exhausting. Came home with a postcard for D - an image of Mars, impregnated with the smell of Mars. It's surprisingly smelly!

In the evening we went to the Vaults for a long postponed meet-up with Arclight and Mr A - J was wearing her magnificent spider t-shirt (a tribute to Lady Hale, president of the Supreme Court), see extra for rather poor shot of it. Much nicer than the spider cabbagetree found the other day!

PS Anyone wanting advice on puzzles to keep small persons quiet and absorbed for hours, just ask. There was only one temper tantrum, when a little girl had to be dragged away to go and see the DE show that they'd come to see!
