What a lovely day:-

for a Long Walk

At first glance this might not seem to be a very imposing structure.

It is a pack horse bridge situate high up in the Sulby Valley above the reservoir.  There is no path leading to it  or away from it, and so the purpose for its construction remains obscure.

I had been told of its existence by Geoffrey, who had visited it with his brother, in the 1940's.

They were so impressed by it that they built a copy of it in their garden!

Mind you it would have to have been quite a narrow pack horse to have safely negotiated it....
