Past Times

So the news today that the last specialist photography chain on the High Street is going into administration reminded me of another time in the mid 1980s when I spent a year in London as a student at the LSE. My camera back then was a Pentax ME Super and I remember taking films in to Jessops near Tottenham Court Road to get them developed and then going back days later to pick up my prints. Walking back to Uni down Kingsway, or heading along Theobalds Road towards Rosebery Avenue where I stayed in a student hall of residence. Photographs then ended up in albums, or stuck up on the wall of my student room, instead of uploaded to the internet and fired around the world. This double-page spread of pictures are from one of my favourite places from my time in London - Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.
