Taunton Day 3

The weather forecast was not good and it rained on and off all day.  We decided to take a drive to Watchet as one of the closest coastal towns to Taunton.

On arrival it was raining so we dived into a handy cafe for a drink and wait for it to blow over.  On leaving the cafe we took a walk around and along the harbour walls. Watchet is an interesting little town with quite a history, as we discovered from the nearby museum and a huge outside painted  mural near the harbour.

From there we drove along the coast to Blue Anchor Bay for a sandwich lunch in the car whilst the rain fell.

The final leg of our journey was to take some very narrow roads, as directed by the satnav, to Wellington.

The town of Wellington was where I lived before we moved to Wales, being the first home we owned.  A terrace house down a narrow street but with a very long garden. Ann and I found the street today but I can't remember the number so couldn't definitely pick out the actual house.

Then back to Taunton and tea in the local pub.
