A slow read

I had intended to finish this book whilst away on holiday. A birthday present back in July.

And maybe read another.

But we’ve had too good a time. A measure of a good holiday for me is that I do not have time to read a good book. So I am just over half way through this. I must try and speed up.

This book is a tremendous read. Good writing, and fascinating content. Modern science is revealing the lives of seabirds in a way not previously envisaged. Next time I see a guillemot I will understand that it is quite extraordinary.
