Bere Cider Company

Imagine spending a week in Somerset and not even trying the cider! This one had excellent reviews and was conveniently located so an obvious first choice to sample.
We didn't need to look elsewhere: from the welcome by Stu the collie (whose colouring resembled Trixie) and the staff, to the taste-testing (sweet and dry straight from the barrel) we knew we were in good hands. Too sweet? Try adding some dry, note the proportions and mix the volume to fill the required bottles of chosen size.
Add to this apple juice, cider vinegar, ice cider and a choice of preserves, there is much to offer the customer. All this is in Jim's Shack, a converted - though only a little - milking parlour (so watch your footing as the floor is uneven).
Bere Cider may seem a small enough enterprise but it is overflowing with character, such a pity we only discovered it the day before we leave.
