Finding Shelter

We visited the Thurgoland Graveyard late morning to try and fill some gaps for someone from Queensland researching their family history.  I spotted this ten-spot ladybird taking shelter and along the way we found a few more Burkinshaw grave-markers to add to her list.  The graveyard is very wet in places and we think that some of the graves she was interested in may well have turf growing over them now.  The family is still well established in the village and there may still be members of the family who can fill some gaps.

While we were out we decided to head to Fox Valley for lunch.  One of the joys of getting older is that you can go and ask someone to feed you at lunchtime which cuts out having to worry too much I an evening.

Oh and I finished off the Parish Newsletter this morning, all except for Chairman Bob’s contribution.  I think he’s going to get a bit squeezed out now he’s left it so late.
