Tübingen

We decided that Tübingen sounded good and worth a visit so we drove there, did some shopping and then parked to the north of town before going into the town. Tübingen is very fortunate in that the centre is old and original, as it wasn’t bombed in WW2 and didn’t suffer from the 1960s fad of harsh concrete redevelopment. It is an old university town so is quite lively and quirky. We spent around 4 hours in the old streets and up at the old castle before leaving to go a bit further north again. Like at Meran I couldn’t pick one blip so made a collage with the centre a view over the roofs from the castle and the surrounds a street scene, a great trompe d’oeil on an electricity cabinet, an avenue of Plane trees and reflections in the Neckar. The extra is of decorative shop signs of all sorts in Tübingen.

Yesterday’s blip.
