Apple Blossom and Otarama

Overnight about 4cm of snow fell on my garden, on the ground and trees and bushes. Then it rained, making the snow slushy. As the sun came up it all froze. Fortunately, the sunshine was warm and burnt it off in a few hours. The soundtrack to my morning was drip, drip, drip and trickle as the snow melted from the roof.

The garden did not get off lightly. Tall plants and flower stems were flattened, soft branches on freshly grown plants were broken, and the big rose bush has fallen over the front path.

The mountains received a dusting. I’m surprised it wasn’t more.
