Colour, Texture & Shape

I seem to drawn to these little vignettes of nature. I think it's the close contact a photograph provides, that I wouldn't make with the real world, and that it's a moment in time which can be studied over and again.

Close up, the leaves create shapes in the frame with a beautiful array of warm colours and interesting textures. Their curvilinear organic edges contrast with the straight line of the stalk and soft light helps to emphasize form.
