Getting older precipitates some gloom

B's birthday today. Happy birhday B! X
I bought B some plants/shrubs/a tree whatever they are known as.
I planted them yesterday and today and, for the first time in my life, I actaully got a bit excited with proper gardening - dealing with plants and stuff rather than just mowing the lawn and building walls etc.
I fear this is probably a sign of getting older... but if I ever find myself looking forward to Gardener's Question Time I think I'll just shoot myself.
