Solace Day 5 - Swans Everywhere

Woke up to a beautiful sunrise but, of course by the time I got dressed and out it was fading. We also found out we had a 6th member of the crew. G found a mouse in the bedroom cupboard, that meant I spent the afternoon lifting a lot of "lost property" out of the deep cupboard that shouldn't even be on the boat. I will be taking it to the AGM next month and getting our other members to claim their stuff.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew completed "Heartbreak Hill", a rapid series of locks. We journeyed on a bit later tonight as we want to get to see the Anderton Lift before we need to turn around.

On the good side it was great to have running water again, hot and cold! I wish I was as happy about the hot water for the visitors at the lodge. Their supply is still restricted because the wholesaler sent the wrong Immersion heater to the electrician!

There were at least 28 swans on this section of the canal.
