Quod oculus meus videt

Turning Colour

Limited opportunity for photography today.  I took a quick saunter around the garden in the afternoon (it doesn't take long), camera in hand.  This is our acer.  We've had it throughout our time in the home (24 years) and it now takes up a place of prominence in front of the conservatory.  Half of it still retains its purple colour of the summer, while the remainder has turned this wonderful red colour.

As you can see, some of the leaves have now started to curl up and are ready to fall.
