Spotlight on Chirk

This evening I went to Chirk Aqueduct and Viaduct to see them lit up by coloured lights. There is a luminaire of the historic structures along the Dee Valley to mark the 10th anniversary since the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct was awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2009. 

It was a beautiful sight and difficult to choose which photo to use for my blip so two more are extras (the whole of the structures and one shot from underneath). The people at the top are standing on the canal towpath (as was I).
