Lorca

It was hard to avoid knowing about tonight's play at the Casa de la Cultura, Doña Rosita la Soltera by Lorca. It was being put on by the local amateur theatre company, and half the population of Almuñecar was talking about it. Isabel from the intercambio had a small part and sold us tickets with great enthusiasm, and most of the people we know were there.

I was glad I'd read the play beforehand as I'd not have made head nor tail of it otherwise ... the voice projection was not very good. It is a slightly hackneyed tale of a young woman waiting for her fiancé who has buggered off to South America and never comes back. It was very well acted and staged though, and the musicians were good too.
