More Prickles

It has been a very dull day. It has been a very wet day.
Thankfully there was a little bright spot in that I went out for a very pleasant lunch with an old friend who is heading off to live in Sussex with her daughter/son-in-law.
This flower has dried off and is sitting in my bits 'n bobs box.  It came in handy today as I did not fancy getting out there in the rain to find a flower - there are very few in my garden! I blipped its leaves/bracts the other day.  There are some interesting blueish colours in this.
It is my grandson Jack's 8th birthday - wish I could spend time with him, but we are oceans apart.  He is in Washington DC and I am in Devon - boo hoo......
